Coalville Mini Festival 14/10/2012

Once again the sun shone brightly for us as we had great fun playing five different teams.
This was the Teams’ first Mini Festival and first time playing the new 4 a side rule. The kids did fabulously and were not at all phased. Everyone took a turn on the sideline and cheered on the team.
Everyone was impressed with how well all the kids worked together and they took loads of tags, scored lots of tries and their passing and support work was fantastic.
Blake scooped up loose balls and scored trys from them, Tyler dodged his way round everyone to score, Alex flexed and bended to avoid getting tagged and scored, Archie supported excellently and was there for that last ball – Andy said he was effectively the football equivalent of a goal hanger, Kyla organised the defensive lines and forced the opposition back and back with her quest for tags, Henry persisted and persisted with some excellent support play and passing, and Thomas Gough flung himself all over the pitch tagging and scoring trys and was easily our muddiest player at the end of the day.
All the kids hard work was rewarded by being awarded ‘The Spirit of Rugby Award’, and as you can see from the photo they obviously could not wait to get their hands on a trophy!
