Mellish v Ilkeston

Well done to everyone who played at Mellish on Sunday. Paviors were also there so a big thank you to both teams.
It was a lovely morning, a real change from the past few weeks and the team played well despite their lack of recent training and games.
It was 6 a side and we coped well despite the fact that the team has worked hard this season on adapting to the new 4 a side system.
All the team put in their usual hard work and determination.
Kyla soldiered on despite feeling under the weather, Thomas Gough did some amazing flying tag takes, Henry Barker-Pine was his usual persistent, tenacious self and took some great tags, Fergus ran for some great trys and has fitted in amazingly, Lucas and Blake were fantastic all round again, Joe Cook did some great support work and Jamie was congratulated on his play, attitude and team work.
Player of the Day went to Archie. He has worked hard all season. His support work was brilliant, he always found space to run into and he went over the line with some great flying runs. Well done Archie.
