Ilkeston v Chesterfield

Well done to everyone who played at The Gallows on Sunday. A big thank you to Chesterfield who played brilliantly and we had some fantastic matchs and a great game of Bulldog to finish.
The sun was shining at last but it was so, so windy. The pitchs were in good shape and that made it easy for us and not to much mud on the clothes this week.
I got to see both Ilkeston teams play and I have to say that everyone has improved so much this season. A big thank you first of all to Henry Barker-Pine who volunteered to play with Chesterfield as they were one player short.
Henry Crocker ran for a great try and took some brilliant tags, Kyla was back to her usual self and took some great tags, Blake showed his excellent support work, Lucas and Archie ran for great trys skipping round lots of players, Fergus caught some great balls and ran,and William worked hard on his all round game.
Player of the day went to Thomas Gough. Thomas has improved rapidly this season. He is an excellent team player and every week is full of enthusiasm and fun. Once again this week he took tags and did some fantastic runs and scored some great trys. He is always there in support as well. Well done Thomas.
