U7s v Paviors

Th mighty Ilkeston Under 7s has not only their first match of the season but their first match ever and it was away to Paviors!

The excitement was palpable when we arrived with the Paviors U7s enjoying a conga around the pitch. Not to be outdone the elks joined straight in and after the somewhat unconventional warm up we got down to some rugby.

The team was split across 2 pitches with Taz watching one team and Kyla guiding the other. Don’t let the age of these little elks fool you, there were some outstanding displays of running and passing. The communication that the teams showed and the support for each other, and the other team, were admirable and the TREDS values were displayed all round.

We were totally unable to name a player of the week as everyone displayed the values that we want to see but some special mentions for Mack and Eva for excellent support play of each other.
