Ilkeston U7s vs Belper U7s

After a week of wondering if we’d be using the pitches at all we got the word that we were on and not only that we would’nt be training but that Belper wanted a match as they’d suffered worse from the weather than the Ilkeston Everglades and hadn’t had a run out in a bit.
5 Belper players turned out to face our 11 so a bit of a mix and we had Ilkeston, Ilkeston blues, Ilkeston and Belper greens, and a Belper team. Each team played each of the other three teams in a rolling tournament where everyone was involved all the time.
Some great team play was on display from all and we had a great time.
3 new players joined us today, 2 on the pitch and one getting a feel for the game but will be out to play next week. Well done to all of them and their parents for coming our on a somewhat grey and damp day.
