Ilkeston Rugby Union Football Club - COVID 19 update 15th December 2021

Following the recent vote in the House of Commons it has been necessary to issue this brief common sense update to our COVID policies.

Players, Parents & Supporters

  • Please could all players and spectators use sanitising solution, provided at various stations around the club, when entering and leaving the site.
  • Where possible, please ensure that family groups maintain an element of social distancing from each other.
  • Changing rooms will remain open for limited use, in the main players should be Rugby Ready on arrival. If changing rooms are required, then please minimise the time spent within the facility. Where possible please keep wear a face covering and keep the space ventilate.
  • If any player or parent is displaying any COVID symptoms, please could they refrain from visiting the club and follow the current guidelines on testing and isolation. The club have always advised, to avoid any ambiguity, that the isolation period commences from the date of positive PCR test.
  • With effect from the 14th December, If a player or parent has come into contact with an COVID infected person then daily testing has been replaced by isolation, please liaise with the player’s coach should this be the case. Please note that unvaccinated adults must continue to self- isolate for 10 days if they are a contact of someone with COVID19.
  • However, if a player or parent knowingly comes into contact with an individual who has tested positive for the Omicron variant, they must self-isolate at home for 10 days, regardless of their vaccination status.

Stute Club House – Licensed Premises
It’s acknowledged that changes being implemented within the hospitality sector have very little impact on the operation of the Stute as both a licensed premises and event venue. However, we will be implementing the following guidance.

  • Please use the sanitising stations, situated by each doorway, when entering this facility.
  • When ordering drinks at the bar please wear you face covering.
  • Face coverings will also be required to be worn when moving around inside the venue, e.g. if exiting or using the toilet.

The club will continue to monitor the guidance set by both the Government and England Rugby and will update this document as required.
On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank you all for your co-operation in complying with our guidance and would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kevin Smith.
