After the retirement of Alex Ayres I would like to introduce Harry Walton as your new Elks Captain for the upcoming NLD Cup games and the 2021/22 Season starting in September.

Head Coach Ben Buxton commented,
“For a man that young to have the determination and desire to improve not only himself but others around him is rare. His work ethic and desire to win meant that when we were looking for a captain to replace Alex the search was short and realistically a one horse race”

It says a lot about Harry when Bucko, Alex and myself all came up with the same name when asked to name our first choice to be our new leader on the pitch. The fact that he had no hesitation in accepting and is really looking forward to leading the team into battle fills me with great confidence that he is the right person for the role!
