For U11, U12, U13, U15 &U16 these sessions take place at The Stute, until October when it moves to our other floodlit pitch, The Gallows Playing Fields, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 5BB.
When
Please make sure you contact the age group coach to make sure they know you want to come along and so they can give you any details where and when, but also so they can update you on any changes to their schedule.
FREE 4 Week Trial Period
No new Mini or Junior player is expected to pay a club subscription until they have thoroughly enjoyed coming for 4 weeks.
No Match or Hidden Fees
Once your child agrees with us that it’s the best game in the world, after the 4 week trial period, then a single subscription (halved if joining after Christmas) that will cover all the fixtures, training and facilities offered by the club. We do not charge any extra match or festival fees.
Equipment
When attending, please ensure your child has the following,
1. a drink,
2. appropriate clothing (Please be aware that whilst Ilkeston's Sub Tropical climate is normally very mild, it has occasionally been known to be freezing cold with sideways rain!).
3. Appropriate footwear to cope with the weather conditions (football or rugby boots are fine, preferably with aluminium studs, but no need to buy any new ones until we have assessed them, so bring them in what they have to start).
4. U9 age rugby onwards does involve contact so mouthguards are compulsory
All our sessions are run to be lively, enthusiastic and with the emphasis is on fun. Enjoying the game of rugby is our main priority for Junior and Mini players. Ilkeston RUFC offers appropriately qualified RFU coaches at all age groups and we have a robust safeguarding policy to keep your child safe. We look forward to seeing you down at “The Stute”.
Many Regards
