U12's slow start but come back against Paviors

After 2 months without a fixture the Ilkeston side were delighted to be playing after the enforced winter break.

Ilkeston started slowly and saw little ball in attack as Paviors took the game to them. Despite desperate defence - notably from Taylor, Marzano and Pilkington, Paviors took a three try lead into half time. After the break the Ilkeston scrum improved and Elder was able to take control of the backs. Paviors added a further score but Ilkeston had the better of territory and possession. After a number of changes to both teams Ilkeston, scored four tries through Taylor and Davidson (3). Paviors deserved their overall win, but an encouraging display from Ilkeston.
