3. Volunteer Briefings


1. Car Park
Belfield 1 x Adult on entrance, with 2 volunteers in bottom and 2 in top car park to show where to park
Bookbinders 1 Adult should be enough
Tennis Court Only - Volunteer required to walk with car down pathway with pedestrians

Equipment pack from Stute
All car parks have packs to pick up including High Vis jackets, 2 way radio, Cones, car park sign

Public
Keep all speeds low
Ask all occupants to not clean boots in car park and take all rubbish with them

Staff/Volunteers
Wear high visibility vest at all times
All U18 to be supervised by an adult

2.BBQ + Tuck Shop
Equipment pack from Stute
Packs to pick up including, 2 way radio, cash float, card machine, car machine rolls

Food
Food will be prepared in the kitchen, then kept in a food warmer in the changing room kitchen to be finished off as required on the BBQ

Staff
Be careful of hot surfaces + Liquids
Be careful with sharp knives
Only Over 18s who have been shown how to change gas can do so
Keep gas cylinders safe when not in use and away from sources of heat

Public
Keep away from hot surfaces
Store gas away safely

3.Gate
Equipment pack from Stute
Packs to pick up including high vis jackets, 2 way radio, cash aprons, card machine, programs card machine rolls, cash float

£3 per adult inc coaches & parents. It is too complicated to do it another way
Don't all stand at a table or in one place where only 1 line can form
Spread out so more than one line forms and call people forward if you are free
Use cash aprons where possible, saves time coming back to cash tin kept in 1 position
Have 1 line for card payments
Tell grumpy public members all proceeds go towards running our Minis section

4.First Aid
Only persons Over 18 with a club recognised first aid qualification should be used
Ask if the visiting club has a first aid volunteer to help - which helps us free up time to cover incidents
Minor incidents - Ice packs and plasters etc deal with
Major incidents - suspected fractures etc inform Hannah
If in doubt refer to Hannah - First Aid Lead on the day


5.Pitch Managers

Get next playing clubs and refs ready before the start time and in plenty of time
Be clear about time and pitch
Any problems contact festival control
"Should be a brand new ball per pitch - pick up 1st thing from festival control - do not let players kick
this into the grass etc"
Make sure Junior helpers maintain concentration
Pitches near cricket square - no one to walk across square and no one with studs to fetch balls
You will be notified by festival control if you have a team that cannot be photographed, please inform coaches before each match if this is the case
